The Chargers are trailing the Broncos by 7 points in the NFL week 14 game, a must-win for either side to keep their playoff hopes alive. But that’s not even the most concerning news at the Chargers camp. It comes from the locker room and involves quarterback Justin Herbert.

The Chargers’ QB has headed toward the locker room after an apparent finger injury during the second quarter. They have replaced him with backup Easton Stick. And it brings more mad news for the home team atop their poor offensive run in the league.

The QB and the franchise altogether haven’t had a great offensive display in the season, something that reflects in the ongoing game as well. The Wilson-led Broncos are leading the home side 10-0 after two full quarters, and Herbert is out with 9-17 for 96 yards with more interceptions to show for than touchdowns. 28-year-old backup QB, Easton Stick, has taken up his role since his departure, and without any further build-up, the QB remains as good as questionable.
Miami-based doctor Jesse Morse has further explained the play which may have resulted in the injury for the QB. According to him, it occurred when a Broncos defender seemingly stepped on Herbert’s right index finger.

The Chargers averaged only 2.7 yards/play in the first two quarters, and have just scored one offensive touchdown in their last 10 full quarters combined!
