The MiniAir 11 from GEEKOM is a tiny desktop with enough power for office work and media streaming, and it’s currently on sale for a dollar under US$125. At this price, you’ll get an 11th Gen Intel Celeron CPU, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256 GB SSD.
GEEKOM is running a sale on a handful of their mini desktops this summer. One of the best deals from the retailer is the MiniAir 11, a tiny desktop PC with an 11th Gen Intel Celeron CPU that you can snag for only US$124.
The MiniAir 11 is very compact for a desktop PC, measuring in at 117 x 112 x 34.2 mm (4.61 x 4.41 x 1.35 in) and only 524 g (1.16 lbs). It has holes along the bottom for mounting on the back of a monitor via a VESA mount (included in the box).
The unit on sale has an 11th Gen Intel Celeron N5095 CPU, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD. We reviewed the MiniAir 11 last year and noted its excellent connectivity options (3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.0, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, Ethernet, SD card reader, headset jack), easy maintenance (with two DDR4 RAM slots and M.2 slot easily accessible by the end user), and low power draw.
The MiniAir 11 is running a Celeron chip, so performance will not be on par with the latest and greatest mini desktops. Still, it is more than powerful enough for office work, home-oriented tasks, and media streaming. We remarked on its near-silent operation and efficient power usage, which may make the MiniAir 11 a good choice for a versatile streaming box.
While the MiniAir 11 is great for productivity and office work, it does lack the compute and graphics power needed for gaming (outside of light titles). Storage space is also limited by a single M.2 SATA drive slot, but the ample USB ports and SD card reader make external storage a viable option.
GEEKOM is currently selling the MiniAir 11 for US$129, a US$150 drop from its regular US$279 price tag. The coupon code “summer5air” takes an extra US$5 off, dropping the final price to US$124 (tax not included).
