1. That’s What I Am (2011): Randy Orton’s film career started in 2011 in the drama about a gay teenager facing bullying. Orton played the role of Ed Freel, the father of the bully. The drama is directed by Michael Pavone and created by WWE Studios.

2. 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (2013): Orton played the role of Nick Malloy an MMA fighter who was forced to participate in a deadly game. The film is directed by Roel Reine and created by WWE Studios. It is a direct sequel to the film starring Orton’s biggest rival, John Cena. 

3. The Condemned 2: Desert Prey (2015): This is another action flick, this time pitting Orton (playing Will Tanner) against Stone Cold Steve Austin in a fight to the death on a remote island. Directed by Roel Relne, the movie was created by WWE Studios.

4. Countdown (2016): Orton had a cameo in this thriller, starring Dolph Ziggler and Kane. It is about a group of friends receiving mysterious countdown clocks predicting their deaths. The film is directed by John Stockwell and created by WWE Studios. 

5. Shooter (2016 TV series): Orton guest-starred in an episode of this action drama, playing a former military operative. The drama was developed by John Hlavin and created by multiple studios. It is Orton’s first work outside of the WWE network.

6. Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022): Orton’s role in this kid movie is different than his other performances. He lent his voice to the animated film “Paws of Fury,” playing a tough-talking teddy bear named Teddy. The movie is directed by Rob Minkoff and created by multiple studios.

How did Randy Orton manage time for his silver screen appearances?

Interestingly all of Orton’s major roles are on the silver screen within the WWE network. Considered a workhorse in WWE, he has been a top-tier performer since his early years. But, then how did he manage time for these many stints considering WWE superstars have an extremely busy schedule?

The answer lies in the long list of injuries Orton has sustained in his 21-year-long career. A total of 9 injuries has kept him out for a long duration, totalling over 3 years. The longest of these breaks came in 2022 when he left due to an L5 S1 Spondylolisthesis. But now he is back, hungrier than ever before.
