Last night, the quaint hamlet of Amagansett, NY, was buzzing with fashion folk who gathered at Il Buco al Mare Restaurant for an evening hosted by Mytheresa and Toteme. The Travel in Toteme capsule collection—exclusive to the luxury e-tailer—was the cause for the celebration. “The coolest part about this capsule is it’s almost sold out,” said Mytheresa’s North American president, Heather Kaminetsky. “So if you haven’t already shopped it, you should shop it!” Kaminetsky was joined by her co-hosts, Toteme founders Elin Kling and Karl Lindman.
Soft twinkling lights and lush floral arrangements adorned the restaurant’s back garden, where guests like Rebecca Dayan, Ivy Getty, Gucci Westman, Quentin Jones, Magnus Berger, and Vogue’s Lisa Aiken gathered for sunset cocktails. Most everyone in the room was dressed in pieces from the Swedish label’s new collection; dresses and separates in black linen, silken creams, and antique white filled the party, proving summer dressing doesn’t need much color—it’s actually chicer without it.
Just before dinner was served, Kaminetsky expressed her gratitude to Toteme for curating such a remarkable gathering. “Thank you for really helping us put together this incredible dinner.” The choice of Il Buco al Mare as the venue held a special significance. Kaminetsky explained: “Now, a little history of why we’re at Il Buco. Obviously it’s a favorite, but because Elin and Karl live near here, they thought it would be a great idea to have everyone together. It’s almost like their own kitchen. So here we are!”
