An investigation is reportedly underway after Beyonce’s childhood home in Houston, Texas, caught fire. According to AP News, the incident occurred on Christmas.

More Details Regarding The Fire At The Home & Response Of Authorities
According to the outlet, the singer’s childhood home is located on the 4200 block of Rosedale Street. The fire was reported around 2 a.m.
Additionally, the Houston Fire Department reportedly arrived on the scene within three to five minutes.
“We had it contained in about 10 minutes,” Justin Barnes, the Houston Fire Department District Chief, told reporters.
The outlet adds that an investigation to determine the cause of the fire is now underway.

According to CNN, the family residing in the Knowles’ former residence was home at the time of the fire. However, they were not injured in the blaze.

In June, reports surfaced that Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland were planning to give back to their Houston roots. The singers announced a $7.2 million project to create 31 permanent housing units for unhoused individuals.

Then, in September, the singer touched down in Houston with her mother, Tina Knowles. The pair formally kicked off the redevelopment project with a surprise appearance.
According to Click2Houston, construction to build the 31 units will begin in the first quarter of 2024. Furthermore, Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland’s foundation, the Knowles-Rowland House, hopes to complete the project by the end of 2024.
