Well, well, well! This summer, boxing fans will see an unlikely match put their paws on each other in the ring! Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will face off during a live-streamed match in July.
Variety says the highly unexpected tussle will occur at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. And roomies, if you’re interested in seeing what goes down in the ring, all you have to do is pull up your Netflix account!
That’s right; anyone with a subscription can watch the live-streamed event. Hopefully, we won’t get a repeat of the failed ‘Love Is Blind’ reunion in April 2023.
This boxing match is one of Netflix’s latest attempts at making a mark in the sports world. They’ve previously aired both a tennis matchup and a golf event.
What Else You Should Know About Mike Tyson & Jake Paul Hitting
While some may be side-eyeing the match, Variety reports that the July 20 rumble isn’t the first time Mike and Jake will throw hands at the same event.
In 2020, former heavyweight champion Mike returned to the ring for his first match since 2005-2006. He went up against Roy Jones Jr. in the exhibition match, which ended in an unofficial split draw, per CBS Sports. Meanwhile, the co-main event featured Jake Paul and Nate Robinson. Paul knocked out the former NBA star in the second round despite it being his second professional boxing match.
Since his Jan. 2020 debut, Variety reports that Jake Paul has collected nine wins, including six knockouts and one loss. Meanwhile, his opponent is nothing short of a boxing goat with an infamous past in the ring (yes, we’re talking about the bit-off ear incident.)

What Mike & Jake Said About The Upcoming Boxing Match
And while social media users are debating the fight’s fairness, Jake Paul seems more than ready to hit with Mike Tyson.
“My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. This will be the fight of a lifetime,” Jake said.
Jade also boasted about his sudden rise in the boxing world — both in the ring and outside of it — with his co-founded company, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” Paul said. “Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons. Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world – a testament to all we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.”
Mike Tyson is also looking forward to putting his paws on Jake Paul. Remember that the champ has a pro record of 50 wins, including 44 knockouts and only six losses, per Variety. In a statement, Tyson said he’s “very much looking forward to stepping into the ring.”
“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT. It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him off on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”

He’s 57 but he don’t fight like he’s 57. He fights like he’s like Mike Tyson. Fighting him at any age when he’s still moving like this is insane.
