If you don’t know about Japanese outfielder Chusei Mannami, you might want to start paying attention to how great he is.
He may just have the most thrilling arm in all of baseball.
Yahoo writer Kendall Baker shared a tantalizing thread about Mannami on Twitter (X) on Wednesday, showing highlights of just how rare Mannami’s throwing ability is from the outfield.
On one highlight, Mannami throws the ball all the way from near the the back of the outfield to home plate to get an out. Who does that?!
Mannami plays for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in the Pacific League of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball. However, we doubt he’s there for long with astounding highlights like this.
Just watch how good he is at throwing the ball.

While Baker points out that Mannami isn’t the best regular hitter, he should be good enough at the plate to justify making it to the MLB sooner than later.
Mannami is 24 years old. His mother is from Japan, and his father is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
He plays outfield for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
Not the best hitter, but he’s got some pop. Hope we see him in MLB at some point! pic.twitter.com/bsGNS7JwVu

Honestly, with scintillating highlights like this, Mannami is going to be playing in the MLB as soon as next season if the right team finds him.
