The Crunchyroll Industry panel at Anime Expo 2023 revealed on Monday the production staff, additional cast, opening theme, and first promo for the television anime adaptation of Yu So-nan and Uk-jakga’s Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu (A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special) manhwa. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2023.
Sayumi Suzushiro (Bocchi the Rock!) and Natsumi Fujiwara (Great Pretender) are joining the cast as Romantica Eru and Pram Schneider, respectively.

J-rock group FLOW (Naruto, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) is performing the opening theme “GET BACK.”
Yu and Uk-jakga began serializing the action fantasy manhwa on the KakaoPage website in September 2016. The eighth volume was released in November 2019.
Tappytoon is publishing the manhwa digitally on their website since June 2020. Yen Press licensed the manhwa for physical releases in English on October 2021. The second volume went on sale on April 18.
