Contributing over two decades of experience in the field, Dr. Neogi has been affiliated with UC Health as a population health manager since 2023. In her latest role, she is responsible for various quality and process improvement projects focused on population health. Her work involves collaborating with outpatient clinics affiliated with UC Health, which notably has over 15 primary clinics throughout Cincinnati. Working closely with clinicians and staff, Dr. Neogi analyzes process metrics and evaluates anywhere from 10 to 15 process indicators for each clinic. Additionally, she joined the University of Cincinnati in 2023 as an adjunct faculty.

Dr. Neogi began her career as a graduate engineering trainee at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. in her native India in 2001 before being hired full-time as a design engineer the following year. She was recruited by Cummins Inc. in Minneapolis in 2007, working as a manufacturing engineer and then application engineer from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Neogi also found success with TMAC as a supply chain consultant GRA in Arlington, Texas, between 2010 and 2014 and as an assistant proctor at the American Society of Quality (ASQ) in Milwaukee from 2011 to 2019. Just before joining UC Health, she worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, beginning as a senior analyst of quality and transformations of data systems between 2014 and 2022, then as a continuous improvement and lean instructor from 2016 to 2022, training teams physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other clinical and non-clinical staff members on continuous improvement concepts using lean and analytics. Moreover, Dr. Neogi lent her expertise as a business manager at the hospital’s fetal care center between 2022 and 2023.

As a scholar and seasoned researcher, Dr. Neogi has authored/co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles over the past 10 years. Eager for the future of her career, she anticipates continued growth and expertise in process improvement and teaching. Dr. Neogi draws a sense of success and fulfillment in her diverse background across various industries, recognizing that her experiences have significantly shaped her career.

Civically active, Dr. Neogi has been active in supporting girls’ education in India. She has also volunteered with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati since 2015.

Dr. Neogi is highly educated, having earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Nirma University in India in 2001, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007 and 2014, respectively, and a Master of Business Administration in management and operations from the University of Cincinnati in 2021. She also received numerous professional designations, including certification as an internal auditor, health care management engineer, manufacturing engineer, and production and inventory management. Furthermore, Dr. Neogi became a certified Six Sigma black belt through the ASQ in 2012.

Dr. Neogi is recognized as a lean bronze-level professional through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, the Society for Health Systems, the Association for Operation Management, and ASQ. She has also been admitted to the Golden Key International Scholars Honor Society and the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society.

Recognizing her achievements, Dr. Neogi was named among the first-place winners of the Operational Excellence in the Division Best Practice Competition by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers in 2020. She was also honored with an Above and Beyond Award from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 2017. Among several accolades, Dr. Neogi received a Best Healthcare Systems Track Paper Award at the IEOM International Conference and was named the Student of the Year by the Greater Fort Worth chapter of the Association for Supply Chain Management in 2014.
