Garnering success in retail and entrepreneurship, Ms. Hackworth owns Treasures On Main Antique Mall, an award-winning antique mall in Paintsville, Kentucky. An expert in sales, she works closely with over 50 vendors to ensure every area of her facility is filled with one-of-a-kind items ready to purchase. Among an array of items, customers can browse and shop for unique furniture pieces, antiques, collectibles, vintage glassware, and more.
Ms. Hackworth has owned and operated her business since 2011. Previously, she was employed by Auto Trader Magazine as an outside senior sales representative from 1999 to 2009. Ms. Hackworth plans to retire in the next five to 10 years. In the meantime, she intends to remain true to herself and provide a welcoming environment for the community through her business.
Ms. Hackworth generously donates and contributes her time to various events and initiatives. She also hosts an annual open house in the downtown area during the Christmas season. Ms. Hackworth has a popcorn bar, coffee bar and involves local artisans, allowing them to showcase their products for free.
Ms. Hackworth graduated from Johnson Central High School in 1990. She subsequently completed coursework at Prestonsburg Community College in Kentucky before garnering an undergraduate degree in business, management, marketing, and related support services from Morehead State University in Kentucky in 1994.
In light of her professional accomplishments, Ms. Hackworth’s customers have consistently voted her antique shop as the Best Antique Store and Best Window Display in an area-wide competition every year since 2011. She also received an Adaptability and Innovation Member Award from Johnson County in 2020 for her tireless efforts and willingness to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Hackworth attributes her success and longevity as a business owner to being a longstanding resident who has become very involved in her community.
