Runa and Maria both volunteered for the annual festival and ended up with the same task of making posters along with Ryuto. The next episode will be the start of the school’s annual festival. In the preview, we see Ryuto and Sekia in a maid cafe-themed classroom. Later, the three boys are seen with Akari. Many interesting plot points might occur since annual festivals are an important part of every rom-com anime.
Runa is later seen with Sekiya, even though we don’t know how they know each other or even if they have any connection at all. Ryuto is also seen standing in the rain and talking with Runa, so they likely had a fight or some misunderstanding.

The school’s annual festival is near, so the teachers come to Ryuto’s class for volunteers. Maria was the first one to put her name on the list, but seeing her, Runa also joined the festival committee. Afterwards, Ryuto, Akari, and Ijichi ended up joining, too.
Maria, Ryuto, and Runa are assigned to the pamphlet committee. Both of the girls present their ideas for the pamphlet. Given Runa’s dazzling personality, she thinks of a bright and shining poster, but Maria, being the more mature one, chooses a design that’ll appeal to everyone. Ryuto is stuck in a bind about which one to choose.
Later that day, Ryuto runs into Maria at the station while returning home. They talk about why she decided to get admitted to the school Runa was in. She tells Ryuto how life is a bit hard with only her mother. Maria also tells Ryuto that she doesn’t hold any grudge against Runa. Rather, she just wants to be friends with her.
In a few days, the sports festival starts. Runa is shown to be very athletic as she’s running the final lap in the relay. With Ryuto’s encouragement, she wins the race. Later, in a scavenger hunt, Runa grabs his hand and finishes the race, securing the first place as the item she needed was “The person she liked”.
Once it’s done, our point of view switches to Maria and Akari, who are in the cheerleading group. But once they get outside, Maria sees her mom talking with Runa. She runs to the roof, where Ryuto finds her a while later. She tells him that none of this is his concern when he tries to console her.
Ryuto replies that it is his concern since Maria is his friend. Maria tells him that she still likes him, but she also understands his feelings. She doesn’t want to get rejected again, so she’d like Ryuto to stop being so kind. Runa listens to the end part of the conversation from behind the door.
