Roofless one-seater Ferrari Monza SP1 sports car worth $1.8 million caught in heavy rain, owner forced to use umbrella.

Despite the seven-figure starting price as well as the absence of roof and windscreen, Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 sold out before official debut.

Just 499 examples (including 2-seater SP2) was available for purchase only to Ferrari’s most loyal customers and collectors. 

It is powered by naturally-aspirated V12, which allows it to dart from 0-62 mph in a 2.9 seconds and a sprint to 124 mph in 7.9 seconds.

Viral photos shared has captured the owner of a roofless Ferrari Monza SP1 using a custom Ferrari umbrella to cover the interior of the limited-edition supercar, following an expected rain showers while cruising on the highway in Taiwan.

Instagram page, yang_andy_8818, which shared the pictures of the drenched one-seater Ferrari, wrote :

This SP1 worth $1.8 million each is just one of 499 examples (including 2-seater SP2) available for purchase only to Ferrari’s most loyal customers and collectors, with Swedish professional star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic being one of them.

Based on the Ferrari 812 Superfast, the exclusive Monza SP1 and SP2 are inspired by classic racing Ferraris like the 1948 166 MM, the 750 Monza, and the 860 Monza.

Power comes from a naturally-aspirated V12, which delivers 799-horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Monza SP1 to dart from 0-62 mph in a claimed 2.9 seconds and a sprint to 124 mph in 7.9 seconds.
