DEVELOPING: @patbev21 is currently weighing his options between a NBA Vet Minimum contract and a HISTORIC contract in Europe đ°
He noted that he is âweighing his optionsâ between an overseas deal or a veteranâs minumum contract in the NBA.
Beverley spent the 2023-24 season between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 73 games. He has played with five different franchises since 2021 and has not signed a multi-year contract since 2019.
The veteranâs minimum for Beverley would be $3.3 million, per Spotrac, because he has exceeded 10 years of service time. He remains a nice depth addition to bring defense and around 20 minutes per night to a team, but could find a bigger role and some more long-term stability in a foreign league.
Greek journalist Thanos Tsibos reported that Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League is âseriously interestedâ in Beverley. If he were to go there, he would reunite with head coach Stefanos Dedas. Dedas notably was an assistant coach of Spartak St. Petersburg of the Russian Super League during Beverleyâs tenure with that franchise in 2011-12.
Beverley has also played abroad in Ukraine and Greece, so he could opt to return to one of those leagues as well.
