‘RHOA’ Rumble: Kandi Burruss Shuts Down NeNe Leakes’ Critiques: ‘What Are You Doing Other Than Talking About Us?’

Kandi Burruss is taking a moment to address NeNe Leakes‘ recent shade and acknowledge what direction she thinks The Real Housewives of Atlanta should take.

Kandi Burruss Disregards NeNe Leakes’ Critiques: “What Are You Doing Other Than Talking About Us?”

During a recent sit-down with Entertainment Tonight, Kandi responded to what NeNe had to say about her during her sit-down with Carlos King on Reality with The King.

Namely, NeNe said that Kandi is “not exciting” and that she doesn’t “think the cameras love her.” She also later proclaimed that Kandi was more of a “supporting star” rather than one who really steals the show.

In turn, Kandi suggested that she was unfazed while brushing the matter off. After all, she is the longest-running Housewife of all time!

“For anybody who feels the way about me, I do not care. I am the longest-running Housewife of any franchise. So, you may not think that I’m good television, but somebody does.”

She went on to say that while she’s happy to let everyone have their moment, others “feel like they’re bigger than the group.”

“I am very cool and happy at letting the people around me shine. So some people feel like they’re bigger than the group, right? They bigger than everybody, and they do not understand that it takes an ensemble to make the cast work or to make an interesting story. So yeah, she may be hot when she’s with us, but how hot is she when she’s not with us? And that’s what I would have to say.”

Before moving on, Kandi Burruss declared, “I think NeNe is amazing. But it’s like… what are you doing other than talking about us?”

Kandi Says A Full Reboot Wouldn’t Fly In Atlanta, Suggests Bringing Back Porsha Williams & Eva Marcille

After acknowledging NeNe’s commentary, Kandi shared her thoughts on RHOA‘s direction.

First and foremost, despite some fans calling for the show to get a full reboot like The Real Housewives of New York recently received, Kandi says she doesn’t think it would work, as “Atlanta is different.”

“I feel like certain people on this cast, people expect to see them, you know what I mean? But I feel that you can add some new people — but it’s all about who you add. Because they’ve tried to add people here and there; and some people, you guys [have] never even gotten to see ’cause they wasn’t giving what I guess production, or the network, felt like they needed to give. So it’s like, it’s gonna be tough. It’s hard to be in this circle, I can say that.”

With Kandi Burruss believing that a complete recast would be “tough” to pull off on RHOA, she’s also speaking on who she thinks should make a return.

She started out by naming Porsha Williams before mentioning NeNe Leakes — though she seemingly threw shade at the latter while chatting.

“I definitely would add back Porsha. I would. If there was any world where NeNe could be added back, I would add her back just simply because she has so much to say about us.”

Additionally, Kandi expressed that she’d like to see Cynthia Bailey and Eva Marcille return to RHOA. As Cynthia recently made a cameo appearance and Eva starred on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, these options don’t sound too far-fetched!

Of course, we also have to add that Kandi said she hasn’t “planned [her] exit just yet.”
