Driven by a shared commitment to address food insecurity in their community, members of Science Hill High School’s Feed the Hungry Club have organized a series of impactful initiatives over the past several months. Students have collaborated with local food banks, conducting weekly drives that collect fresh produce, canned goods, and essential supplies. Their efforts have not only increased food availability for families in need but have also raised awareness on the importance of community involvement in combating hunger.

Key activities of the Feed the Hungry Club include:

  • Monthly outreach events distributing meals to underserved neighborhoods
  • Partnering with grocery stores for surplus food donation programs
  • Organizing educational workshops on nutrition and food waste reduction
  • Engaging peers in fundraising campaigns to support local shelters
