After All-Star Weekend came to a close in Indianapolis, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors can now look forward to hosting All-Star Weekend next season in their home city.
The Bay Area will host All-Star Weekend in 2025 for the first time since 2000, and Curry is looking forward to having the events in the city that he’s called home for 15 years.
“I’m extremely excited,” Curry said after Sunday’s All-Star Game. “2019, I think it was, I got to go home to Charlotte and feel the love of my hometown and kind of embrace that experience, and I imagine it’s going to be that plus a whole lot more. Hosted in the Bay for the first time since 2000.”

The last time the Warriors hosted All-Star Weekend, the events were held across the Bay in Oakland. Now, San Francisco and the Chase Center will host All-Star Weekend, but Curry has hope that the NBA will pay homage to the Warriors’ Oakland roots.
“The whole Bay has a lot to offer, from San Francisco, Chase Center, possibly some spotlights on Oakland, our history there in that city as well,” Curry said. “I’m excited and thankful it’ll be a short drive.”
Curry played in his 10th All-Star Game on Sunday, posting 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Assuming the Warriors’ star is an All-Star again next season, he’ll be looking to put on a show for his home crowd.
