Dessert fans, get ready to flock to Subway. The former world’s largest restaurant chain is about to become home to one of the fast food world’s longest desserts. Move over, footlong subs: a footlong cookie is coming to Subway!
Footlong cookies are officially in the national spotlight. And they look seriously delish.
What kind of cookie is the Subway footlong cookie?
The Subway footlong cookie is a classic: chocolate chip. Yum! Who doesn’t love a gooey chocolate chip cookie, let alone 12 inches of gooey chocolate chip cookie.
The creation is not entirely new. In 2022, the chain celebrated National Cookie Day with a pop-up of the footlong cookie in Miami. Needless to say, customers were thrilled with the cookies (so much so that the desserts were gone in under 2 hours) and disappointed in its short debut. Following the cookie’s overwhelming success, Subway’s culinary team went to work perfecting the dessert. Now, the cookie is back and better than ever in time for National Cookie Day (December 4). And it will be on Subway’s permanent menu next month!

When can I get a Subway footlong cookie?
Luckily, fans in four cities can pick up a free footlong cookie today. With the purchase of a footlong sub at Subway’s “Cookieway,” customers will receive a footlong cookie for free The promotion is available from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time at the following locations:
Chicago: 604 S Wabash Ave, Suite D, Chicago, IL 60605
Dallas: 1222 Commerce Street, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75202
Miami: 2795 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140
New York City: 545 8 Ave., New York, NY 10018
If you find yourself near any of these locations, act fast! The free footlong cookies are only available while supplies last.
For those who can’t pick up a free footlong cookie today, don’t fret. The footlong cookie will soon become a permanent menu item. And as Subway sells more freshly baked cookies than any other U.S. restaurant company, it only makes sense. Rumor has it the 12-inch cookies will be at all Subway restaurants in January of 2024.
