As Thanksgiving approaches, netizens are taking to Instagram to show off their festive fall fits. This week, everybody leaned into neutrals, letting texture, silhouettes, and volume take center stage.
Alexa Chung dazzled us with her luxe European train experience, with romantic outfits to match. While, between her ruffled blouse and red floor-length dress, she can’t miss, we were particularly taken by her Prada mini cape dress, which she paired with a pointy-toe kitten heel. Kiki Palmer, also on a Euro trip, gave us her take on a midi dress, opting for a bodycon netted lace number from Alaïa—it is Paris, after all. Matching the glamorous, femme fatale energy of her sheer dress, she wore a pair of peep-toe stilettos from Jimmy Choo.
Erin Wasson embraced velvet this week—and it seemed to embrace her right back. The model recreated her 2001 Gucci campaign, posing in the Tom Ford-era mini dress complete with sheer paneling. Jennifer Lopez also looked timeless in her Magda Butrym dress. The singer let the brand’s signature styles work for her: the nude maxi’s ruching detail accentuated her figure.
Still, there’s always room for some color, as Marine—who goes by the username Prête moi ta veste—proved. The stylist denounced the season’s favored “pop of red” in favor of a cooler color, wearing a cobalt scarf, sweater, and shoes with her camel coat.
