Guideau and Ashaf go against the Paladin Corps in episode 6 of ‘The Witch and the Beast,’ titled “The Witch and the Demon Sword: Opening Act.” The new mission from the Order is a case the Paladin Corps is also working on.
To get to the witch, Guideau and Ashaf will also have to go against the Paladin Corps. However, the witch is not as big of a deal as they thought, so what makes her a threat? Here are the latest updates.
1. Episode 7 Release Date

2. Episode 7 Speculation
Since Helga is not the witch that cursed Guideau, the duo’s mission is to take Helga now back to the Order Headquarters. However, Helga refuses their help to protect her from the Paladins, choosing to fight alone.
Guideau followed her regardless, which was a good decision, as Helga immediately got confronted by Cugat himself, who prepared to kill her. He destroyed a whole tower by himself, so he is incredibly strong.
Helga managed to escape him once, but he doesn’t seem like the type to let the same prey escape twice. However, Helga is not the perpetrator, so Cugat has no reason to kill her. Cugat is actually after something else entirely.
3. Recap of episode 6
Guideau wakes up to Ashaf making food and demands information about their next mission. For their next witch-hunt, the duo will have to go against the Paladin Corps to claim the witch.
Ashaf and Guideau run into the Paladin Corps guarding the area. They demand Ashaf’s identity and the contents of the coffin. The coffin has a church permit, so they easily let Guideau and Ashaf through.
Cugat, the leader of the Paladin Corps, is being assisted by an emissary from the Holy Church, who is investigating the witch in question. While Ashaf is disabling the wards acting as barriers, Guideau notices the witch and asks him to hurry up.

The witch takes down another search team of the Corps. The emissary knows too much about the witch, but he doesn’t share anything useful, much to Cugat’s annoyance. Meanwhile, Guideau breaks in and starts attacking the witch.
Ashaf casts a compression spell on the witch and captures her, revealing that the witch is unable to use her full power. He could tell because he recognized her Ultoma.
The witch, Helga Velvette, descendent of an Origin, is weak. However, she possesses the actual threat, a Demon Sword Ashagan. Helga breaks out of Ashaf’s spell, and Guideau wonders if the Demon Sword is stronger than her.

Ashaf offers to protect Helga from the Paladin Corps and the Demon Sword Ashagan finds this interesting. Hearing Ashagan talk startles both Ashaf and Guideau while Helga tells it to stop talking.
Ashaf deduces that Helga was falsely accused of murder, and Ashagan interrupts, wondering what Ashaf will get out of helping Helga. However, they are interrupted by Paladin’s attack.
Helga rejects Ashaf’s offer and leaves, and Guideau follows her. Helga is not the witch Guideau is looking for, so their mission is to safely take her back to the Order. Helga encounters Cugat, but Guideau shows up to protect her.

The Witch and the Beast (Majo to Yajū) is a dark fantasy manga series by Kousuke Satake. It started serialization in Young Magazine in November 2016, moved to Monthly Young Magazine in May 2021, and also has an anime adaptation under production.
It follows a beast-like girl Guideau and a mysterious man with a coffin, Asaph, on their way to hunt down a witch who is hailed as a hero.
