Rome Odunze will lead the Washington Huskies (3-0) into their battle against the California Golden Bears (2-1) at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium on Saturday at 10:30 PM ET.
In their last game, the Huskies knocked off the Michigan State Spartans 41-7. The Golden Bears are coming off of a victory over the Idaho Vandals by the score of 31-17. In that matchup with the Spartans, Michael Penix Jr. had 473 yards on 27-of-35 passing (77.1%) for the Dawgs, with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Tybo Rogers carried the ball 15 times for 74 yards (4.9 yards per carry). Odunze hauled in eight receptions for 180 yards (averaging 22.5 per catch) against the Spartans. Sam Jackson went 12-for-23 with 108 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Bears against the Vandals. He rushed nine times for 41 yards and one touchdown. In that matchup, Isaiah Ifanse had a 22-carry, 137-yard game (6.2 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. He also added three receptions for 15 yards . Jeremiah Hunter recorded five catches for 48 yards (on eight targets), with one touchdown.
