Beloved chicken brands newest restaurant joins the Mississippi “coop” on Dec. 30
Athens, GA (RestaurantNews.com) Saucy chicken chain Zaxby’s® is opening its first location in Greenwood, Mississippi at 1000 West Park Ave. The new Zaxby’s, owned and operated by Oxford Foods, Inc., will open for both drive-thru and dine-in on Saturday, Dec. 30. Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu features the wildly popular Fried Chicken Philly limited-time offer, Zaxby’s fan-favorite Fried Pickles and its mouth-watering–Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries.

Boasting 3,200 square feet, the restaurant features Zaxby’s charming, white farmhouse-style design and a spacious dining room seating up to 56 guests. Its expansive back-of-house kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances to ensure that food is served hot and fresh every time. The restaurant is also equipped with a double drive-thru layout for swifter service and Zaxby’s cutting-edge digital menu boards to streamline the payment and pickup process for guests.
For even faster service, customers may also order ahead online via Zaxbys.com as well as through the new Zaxby’s app available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Ordering delivery is available directly through the Zaxby’s app, as well as through UberEats, DoorDash and Grubhub.
Oxford Foods, Inc., owned by seasoned licensee Tom Scott has served communities across Mississippi for over 20 years, bringing the first Zaxby’s to the Magnolia State back in 2003. The new restaurant will be the franchise’s 11th Zaxby’s location in the state. The franchise contracted Memphis-based Dimension Construction to build the new restaurant.
