A social media user is facing fierce backlash after body-shaming actress Zendaya.
Sea (@destroynectar) posted a recent photo praising the Euphoria star. The 27-year-old donned a barely-there metallic bra for her Harper’s Bazaar shoot in September, accompanied by a puff sleeve top and voluminous skirt.
“Zendaya has to be the finest woman to ever step foot on the planet,” Sea wrote alongside the snap, which they shared to X, the social network formerly known as Twitter.

The post received over 21 million views, but not everyone was as impressed with the look.
“She is a hard 7,” said @DeIudedShaniqwa. “You can easily find a zendaya selling watermelon in any brazilian favela.”
The user’s response also went viral, receiving more than 12 million views. However, fans were unamused by the body-shaming comment.
“This post smells like hate,” commented @Little_rampage.
“Going out of your way to try n ‘humble’ women is so weird to me,” said Salma. “If u don’t agree just shut up.”
“The jealousy is showing,” wrote @hivehotties.
“If that’s a 7 I’m a 0.5,” joked Van00sa.
“She’s gorgeous,” agreed Cynthia.
“I think she’s a solid 10 because she seems to have ALOT of personality,” said @Z3cheriah.
Others accused the poster of being “xenophobic.”
“Shaniqua, [what the hell]?” asked Simba Tokonga. “Why are you being xenophobic against poor class Afro-Brazilian melon saleswoman???
“Then what was the purpose of shading Zendaya’s chest with that “melon” joke?? Creepy.”

Zendaya is far from the only actress to face body shaming on social media.
Fans recently jumped to the defense of Taylor Swift, after an X user mocked her slender frame, while rapper Doja Cat’s breast shape was attacked online after posting topless swimsuit photos from her birthday party.
Despite the rude remarks about her appearance on X, Zendaya appears to be living her best life. The Golden Globe winner is currently promoting her latest movie, Dune: Part Two, along with co-stars Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Timothée Chalamet.
Dune: Part One, released in 2021, received critical acclaim and won six Academy Awards, with the second installment also landing rave reviews so far.
The actress also appears to be loved up with her boyfriend of two years, Tom Holland. The couple first met in 2016 after being cast as Peter Parker and Mary Jane “MJ” Watson in Marvel’s Spiderman reboot, before going public with their romance in 2021.
The pair have since made several adorable public appearances, with Holland gushing about his girlfriend in interviews.
