2024 Emmys: Christina Applegate receives standing ovation, Ayo Edebiri wins first award

The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards have arrived – four months after they were postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike – and TV’s biggest stars congregated at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, in downtown. On the red carpet, red was also the color of the gowns, with Katherine Heigl, Suki Waterhoise and Camilla Marrone all rocking the passionate color; while Ayo Edebiri was gorgeous in a leather look, and Selena Gomez wwed in Oscar del Renta.

This year’s nominations was a brilliant year for latino representation, with Pedro and Jenna both receiving nods in Drama and Comedy, respectively, and making them the first latino stars to land leading category nominations in 15 years.
