The 30th edition of the festival promises to take the excitement a notch higher than ever
Every year, car enthusiasts from around the globe gather around the woods of West Sussex, England, to partake in the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This annual hill climb event, conceived in 1993 by Lord March, a member of British royalty, has evolved into a remarkable spectacle over the years, displaying an array of the latest, greatest, and truly the weirdest four-wheeled creations out there. On the eve of its 30th anniversary, carmakers like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Bentley, and more have decided to take it a notch further. Here’s how.
Aston Martin Valour

Leave it to Aston Martin to deliver something which strings closer to the heart. The symphony this time is of none other than an old-school V12-powered (715P) motor paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, sitting under the hood of the all-new Valour. Designed to celebrate its 110th anniversary, the Vantage-inspired spectacle will be limited to just 110 units world, which we believe might’ve already been spoken for.
Bentley Speed Six Continuation Series

Yet another British marquee, Bentley will be paying homage to its legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans winner in the 30s, with the “all-new” Speed Six. The replica will be limited to only 12 units worldwide, each costing unknowns of millions.
Ferrari KC23

Folks at Ferrari’s special units division have cooked up something interesting, in the form of the one-off KC23. Based on the 488 GT3 Evo, the track-only prancing horse is as poster-worthy as it gets with butterfly doors, motorized body panels, a Gold Mercury exterior and of course the 488 GT3 Evo’s twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 motor, which should make at least 600PS of power.
McLaren Solus GT

McLaren continues its tradition of building futuristic cars, with the Solus GT. Unlike many other exotic showcases at the festival, the company has full intention of driving this single-seat, track-only machine up the hills of Goodwood. Helping it do so will be a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, that reportedly makes 840PS of power! Before you get any ideas, McLaren has confirmed that only 25 of them will ever go into production, with the first one scheduled to debut this weekend.
Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina

Adding a bit of desi touch will be the Mahindra-owned Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina (yes, it’s a mouthful). Made to pay tribute to the first Formula One World Driver’s Champion, Giuseppe Farina, the car drips in Rosso Niro’s red paint scheme and packs four electric motors, which produces absolutely bonkers 1883PS of power. Sadly, only five of these will ever be made.
