A fashion editor’s pick of Victoria Beckham’s Mango collection – and what’s really worth buying

A fashion editor’s pick of Victoria Beckham’s Mango collection – and what’s really worth buying

It’s probably the most anticipated high street/ designer collaboration season, so much so I’ve been following the countdown clock ever since the announcement and today (23rd April) the collection has finally landed!

Nope, you’re not seeing things, Victoria Beckham has teamed up with high street giant Mango for a capsule collection that will give your spring/summer wardrobe high-end appeal without spending catwalk prices.

Synonymous with sleek tailoring and ‘quiet luxury’ minimalism the collaboration is everything we would expect from the designer and more. You can now shop the full collection online at Mango here.

The Victoria Beckham x Mango collaboration showcases the designer’s signature looks

The ex-Spice Girl founded her label back in 2008 and despite some struggles along the way her brand has gone from strength to strength Victoria has expanded her ranges with footwear, accessories and beauty offerings which have proved popular amongst fans.

But, what does the Mango range offer high-street shoppers you might be thinking? Well, if you’re a fan of VB’s slink cami-style maxi dresses then you can nab yourself a piece of the action for a snip of the price. One of her mainline dresses could set you back up to £1000, so £170 for a is a pretty reasonable saving.

Otherwise, those who are on a slightly smaller budget but want to feel the excitement of owning a designer piece can enjoy satin bags and chain detail jewellery for under £100.

Here are the pieces I believe are a worthy buy this spring…

Cotton long trench coat

A classic trench coat is always a good investment

Victoria’s signature style has certainly evolved since her Spice Girl days and elevated staples make up a huge part of her minimalist wardrobe.

Therefore It’s hardly surprising she has included a classic trench coat in the capsule collection. It’s simple, it’s chic and it’s 100% cotton, I guarantee you’ll love this piece for years to come.

Crochet dress with open back

SHOP: £115 here

Crochet is a big trend for SS24

Crochet fabrics were all over SS24 catwalks so if you want to be on trend for the season this dreamy maxi dress which has a scooped back ticks all the boxes.

It’s transporting me to summer climes. Just imagine wearing this over a sleek swimsuit with an oversized raffia tote. Now take me to the beach (Bahamas), please…

Suit Waistcoat

SHOP: £140 here

Tailoring also makes up a big part of the collection

If there’s one thing Victoria Beckham does well it’s feminine tailoring, and now is your chance to get your hands on some luxe pairings that won’t break the bank.

As some might say business at the front, party at the back. The cut-out design adds an element of interest to a somewhat classic piece. Just not ideal for the larger busted ladies I’m afraid…

Buckled leather sandals

SHOP: £120 here

These simple sandals will become a favourite wardrobe staple this summer
(Image: Victoria Beckham x Mango)

Victoria Beckham’s accessories have become a favourite amongst celebrities and the fashion pack which is why these leather sandals are not to be passed by.

Minimal and fuss-free, the simple strap design will give an elegant aesthetic to any summer look. Team with a floaty linen dress for the ultimate Grecian vibes this summer.

Satin handbag

SHOP: £60 here

Occasionwear season just got even better
(Image: Victoria Beckham x Mango)

What better way to celebrate occasionwear season than with a new piece of arm candy? I had to look twice when I saw the friendly price tag.

At £60 this is one of the more adorable price points within the collection so I predict a sell-out.

Godets dress with decorative stitching

SHOP: £170 here

Victoria Beckham is a fan of the slinky cami dress

Mrs Beckham has become well known for her love of slinky 90s-style cami dresses and can be seen wearing them to any special occasion. Therefore, I wasn’t surprised when I spotted this gorgeous lilac dress in the collection which if you ask me is the perfect occasionwear dress for spring.

You will find a similar floor-length cami In her mainline collection selling for £850 here.

This particular piece has already proven popular with shoppers and it’s selling out fast so get the signature VB look whilst you still can.

Want to shop pieces from Victoria Beckham’s mainline collection? I love the avocado-hued chain pouch for £1,050 here and the tongue-in-cheek slogan tee, for £110 here.
