What Is Amazon Warehouse?
Amazon Warehouse is filled with “quality pre-owned, used, and open box products.” It’s Amazon’s solution to getting rid of the products that got sold back or returned. They’re categorized by quality (we’ll break this down) and as you might assume, end up coming in at pretty sweet prices. The Warehouse section has pretty much everything you can think of; from golf gear to air fryers, you can shop and save across the board.
How Do I Pull up Amazon Warehouse?
Sorry, Bezos, we’re spilling your secrets. The Amazon Warehouse can be tricky to find, but once you know how to get there, it’s smooth sailing.
Looking at the search bar where you’d start typing in your product, there’s a drop-down menu on the left-hand side. Once you’ve clicked that, you’ll find a range of categories to search from. “Amazon Warehouse” is toward the top of the menu. When you click into Amazon Warehouse, you can search for whatever you’re looking for and those products will pop up first.
If you want to generally scroll through Amazon Warehouse’s offerings instead of searching for something specific, you can click the magnifying glass icon at the end of the search bar and it’ll take you the Warehouse homepage.
How Does Amazon Warehouse Work?
Amazon uses a graded scale to determine each item’s condition before listing it for resale in the Amazon Warehouse. Every item is graded with a 20-point quality inspection process for damage, packaging, and functionality. Here are the five categories you need to know:
Renewed: This is one of the best conditions available on Amazon Warehouse. It usually indicates the item is like-new, with little to no wear. This also includes an Amazon Renewed Guarantee, giving you 90 days to receive and inspect the product before deciding if you want to keep or return it.Used—Like New: These items work perfectly and the packaging usually looks new, too. We’ve bought Used – Like New Amazon Warehouse items that looked like they’d never been touched.Used—Very Good: One step below Used – Like New, these items have been used very little, if at all, and the packaging is typically in very good shape.Used—Good: Items in average condition that have probably been used, but still work perfectly. The packaging may be damaged or missing, or the item may come repackaged by Amazon.Used—Acceptable: Well-used items that still function. Packaging is typically missing or damaged. These are the best deals available through Amazon Warehouse.
In case you’re skeptical, Amazon does have a structure in place to protect your Warehouse purchase. If you’re unhappy with your order, Amazon promises a free replacement within 30 days of your purchase (so long as there’s an equivalent in stock).
