Sibling tragedy

One little known fact about Lord Sugar, is that he was not, as you might think, an only child, and actually had three siblings, two sisters and a brother – Derek, Daphne and Shirley.

In his biography, Alan shared that he barely remembers his siblings living at home due to the big age difference between them.

Sadly, in 2020, Lord Sugar lost both his sister Shirley and brother Derek to Covid-19 within just a couple of weeks of each other. The successful businessman expressed his feelings on social media, announcing the sad news of their passing.
