Telugu actor Hema, arrested in connection with the Bengaluru rave party case on June 3, was granted conditional bail on Wednesday.

The NDPS Special Court approved the bail after Hema’s lawyer, Mahesh Kiran Shetty, argued that no drugs were seized from her. Shetty also noted that Hema’s medical examination was conducted several days after the arrest.

The court subsequently ordered the granting of conditional bail.

According to the FIR filed, Hema was among 27 women who tested positive for drug consumption at a rave party hosted at a farmhouse in Bengaluru’s Electronic City on May 19.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided the farmhouse based on a tip-off and collected blood samples from the attendees. The rave party was reportedly organised under the pretext of a birthday celebration.

India Today has accessed additional FIR copies detailing the major rave party bust near Electronics City. The FIR reveals that the party was attended by 73 men and 30 women.

The blood samples of 59 men tested positive for drugs while the blood samples of 27 women tested positive. Overall, 86 out of 103 people tested positive for drug abuse.

However, Hema later claimed in a video on social media that her name was dragged in unnecessarily, stating she was at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad at the time.
