Stephen Graham’s been a regular fixture on our screens for years and currently, he and wife Hannah Walters are in four-part drama Boiling Point together.
The show, created by Philip Barantani, James Cummings and Stephen, picks up seven months after the film Boiling Point ends.
It is a fictional series about a high-pressure restaurant, in which the Head Chef Andy Jones, played by Stephen, 50, turns to drink and drugs after a tough situation in the kitchen.
As his life begins to spiral out of control, Andy ends up suffering a heart attack. Boiling Point also features Hannah, who plays chef Emily.
The story is based on the experiences of Philip, who worked in kitchens in the past and struggled with addiction himself.
As Hannah and Stephen work together on screen for the 13th time, we take a closer look at how their romance blossomed…

The couple met at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London in the 1990s and forged a firm friendship. They began dating six years later, after Stephen confessed his feelings for her.
Hannah had returned to the UK after living in Spain and told him she wanted to live there permanently- but Stephen couldn’t be without her and admitted he was in love.
Speaking in 2019 on Desert Island Discs, Stephen said: “She went to Spain for a little bit and I couldn’t see her, and she was going to move out there. She came back and we hadn’t been on a date in these five years, six years, just talking lots. And I said ‘can I take you on a date?’
“She went ‘what?’ And we went to see Saving Private Ryan, had a bite to eat in Greenwich and we were at New Cross train station and I said ‘please don’t go to Spain’.

“She asked ‘why?’ and I said ‘Well, I love you.’ She said she’d been waiting five years for me to say that. And the next day we moved in together. And we’ve been together ever since.”
In 2018, Stephen told Leicestershire Live: “We were bezzie mates. Which is the best way, isn’t it? After a while we just thought: this is daft, do you know what I mean? We like each other, we should get together.”
He also revealed that he really admired his wife as an actress when they were at drama college together. Stephen told the Liverpool Echo: ” “I watched Hannah back in the day at drama school and always thought she was brilliant.
“Watching her read, doing scenes with her over the course of our time together, and also while she’s been a working actress, I’ve been blown away. I just think, ‘Wow… she is amazing'”.

Hannah also supported Stephen in another very important way, being his rock after a suicide attempt which that occurred due to his battle with depression throughout his life.
He said: “I had a breakdown. Going to that big London to do it on your own. Then I went back home. [My parents] were trying to see what was happening with me. I’ll never forget the tears coming down both their faces.
“Then the next day I tried to hang myself. It was very calculated… I heard my Nana’s voice. She shouted, ‘Stephen’ and I thought I’d gone. This is kind of where Hannah came into my life properly. She knew what had happened. She was always in close contact with my mum.”
After dating for years, the couple tied the knot in 2008- they now have two children together, Grace and Alfie. Hannah’s revealed that even after knowing each other so long and being married for 15 years, Stephen gives her butterflies.
She told the Liverpool Echo: “Twenty eight years we’ve known each other. I’m going to be honest – the secret is that it’s me fancying my best mate. It’s having butterflies in my tummy when I’ve been away from him for too long.

“It’s still fancying the a*** off my husband, basically. I want to kill him at times… but I just adore him.”

Director Lewis Arnold previously told the Mirror : “They were amazing – they switched it on instantly. Their chemistry is just extraordinary, it’s infectious as well for the crew.
“Everyone just loves working with them and looks forward to them being on set because they’re such a joy as a couple… but also as a powerhouse of cinema.”
