EastEnders Ravi star Aaron Thiara’s life off-screen including adorable dog and activism

Since first arriving on our screens back in July 2022, Ravi Gulati quickly cemented himself as one of EastEnders’ most intriguing characters as he showcased a deadly combination of good looks and roguish charm.

In fact, in just under eighteen months, Ravi has been embroiled in some of the soap’s most gripping storylines, including the upcoming Christmas murder whodunnit conclusion, which could potentially even cost the character his life.

In the past year alone, Ravi was revealed to have killed his adoptive father Ranveer Gulati, (a crime he let Kheerat Panesar take the fall for), embroiled himself in a cut-throat drug dealing business, embarked on an affair with Denise Fox, discovered he was a father for a second time following the arrival of his ex-Priya and their mystery daughter Avani — and to cap it all off, he was even instructed by his father Nish to murder Eve Unwin!

Needless to say, his actions have seen Ravi accrue more than a few enemies – but thankfully away from our screens, actor Aaron Thiara leads a far less dramatic life.

The 29 year old was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and landed his first acting role in 2013 as Wally’s Mafia in the movie Team Xtreme.

He’s since been part of theatre productions, including As You Like It which ran for three weeks at the Stratford Upon Avon theatre.

On his Instagram he gave a glimpse into his rehearsal life, as he sat on a wooden chair in the studio in a patterned shirt and camo print trousers.

In January 2019 he wrote: “Closing in on Week 8 of rehearsals with ‘As You Like It’ directed by Kimberly Skyes…opening in less than three weeks…see you there!!”

He often gives a sneak peak into his life away from acting on social media too.

In December 2019 he posed with his sweet Jack Russell dog in a photograph.

“Weekend spent with this rascal and family back home, now to travel back to London for another Christmas filled week of shows”, he penned alongside it.

Aaron has also given glimpses inside his London flat, which he’s decorated with pop art, lots of cosy cushions and artsy lighting.

The gorgeous home could be seen as he posed for a picture sitting on a sofa, looking out the window.

He has also used his platform to speak up about racism, telling his 28,000 followers to “be loud and proud of your skin, no matter the colour.”

He continued: “We all have been affected by recent news this week and like the majority I have felt deeply cut by the heavy circumstances our society currently stands amongst community as a whole.

“It makes me question how malleable and moulded I may have been through my life growing up with race and individuality. Shameful it takes atrocities to dispute racism but today I question myself and I’m throwing out all the gratitude for being brown and demand us all not to forget this fight. Love X”
