Four people are to appear in court in January following two searches in Smiths Falls by the Lanark County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
On Thursday, several OPP squads, with Smiths Falls police, executed two search warrants on Lavinia Street and Aberdeen Avenue in Smiths Falls.

Police said they seized suspected crystal methamphetamine, suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, suspected psilocybin, and a quantity of cash.

In addition, the team seized ammunition, a knife, an axe, cellphones, tablets and other drug paraphernalia.
Four suspects ranging in age from 29 to 55 were arrested and charged with trafficking, drug possession and weapons offences.
They were released from custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Jan. 29, 2024.
People facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It’s our policy not to name those charged unless we plan to follow the case through the justice system or it’s of significant public interest to identify them.
