‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ is enjoying tremendous success at the Indian box office, despite receiving mixed reviews from various sources. According to early estimates by an industry tracker, the monster drama, produced by Warner Bros., earned Rs 4.75 crore on Tuesday, April 2. The film’s total net collection stands at Rs 49.75 crore.
While the film’s original English format observed an overall occupancy of 15.26 per cent, the Hindi occupancy was 9.92 per cent. Going by the film’s performance at the ticket windows, ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ will soon enter the Rs 50-crore mark.

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ got the biggest opening weekend for the MonsterVerse franchise, by earning Rs 39 crore within the first three days of its release. It is also the biggest opening weekend for a Warner Bros. film in India.
Starring Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Dan Stevens, the film is directed by Adam Wingard. Unlike the previous films in the franchise, ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ unites Kong and Godzilla to deal with a deadly threat to the planet.
IndiaToday gave the film 4 stars. The review reads, “‘Godzilla x Kong’ is a collab you would never have expected to deliver on such a big scale. The climax is a riot, and there will be a lot of hooting and cheering when you watch your favourite creatures battle it out. Definitely one of the strongest competitors in the franchise, ‘Godzilla x Kong’ is a must-watch.”
