Golden Globe 2024:  Barbie and Oppenheimer Lead The Nominations

Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things also bagged seven nominations each.

The list of nominees for the highly anticipated 81st annual Golden Globe Awards has been revealed. As expected Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” and Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” lead the list, with nine and eight nominations respectively. Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things also bagged seven nominations each.

The critically acclaimed final season of the acclaimed series “Succession” also led the pack with a remarkable nine nominations in TV categories. The Bear and Only Murders in the Building earned five nominations each. Michael Mann’s “Ferrari” was the most notable exclusion.

In another change this year, the upcoming Golden Globes 2024 will mark the debut of two new categories: cinematic and box office achievement in motion pictures and best stand-up comedian on television.

 Scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 7th, the 2024 Golden Globe Awards ceremony marks the beginning of award season in Hollywood. In the US, the award will telecasted on CBS.
