It’s that time of year again, yes, we’re talking new season trends. If you’re in the mood for a wardrobe refresh then you have certainly come to the right place. Spring 2024 trends have been dropping onto the high street over the past few weeks and I’ve been scouring the high street to bring you the hottest on the block.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you need a big bank balance to shop for the latest trends, not only have I found some new season buys for under £50 but you can always add an element of ‘newness’ with a must-have accessory. Trust me when I tell you a investing in a new leather bag or silver shoes can work wonders on updating an outfit from drab to fab in seconds.

From the colour trend that went viral to the trend that transcends any age group, here are the six trends you need to put firmly on your radar for spring…

PALE BLUE

If there’s one colour trend you need to jump on board with this season- it’s pale blue. The stunning pastel shade flatters all skin tones and will give your wardrobe a refresh instantly.

Spring wedding? Try a suit in the feminine hue, John Lewis also have a double-breasted version for £125 here, or this dreamy pussybow dress- it will grab all of the attention.

MODERN UTILITY

Spring 2024 take on the modern utility trend is as charming as ever, and you’ll be pleased to hear it’s incredibly easy to wear whatever your age, shape or size. Stick to a neutral colour palette and introduce cream or brown accessories in leather and suede.

Key items include the classic trench (we adore this cropped style from Albaray) and a timeless belted jumpsuit.

SILVER

Metallics aren’t going anywhere soon so prepare to shimmer long into summer. Silver trousers have been a particular hit on the fashion front since last autumn and are an item you can carry through.

Update them for spring with a fresh white shirt or oversized grey blazer.

OVERSIZED TAILORING

If you want to adopt some new tailoring into your spring wardrobe, there’s only one rule to abide by- make it BIG.

90s style suiting, waistcoats and crisp collared shirts make the perfect pairing. If you are curvy and try a belted suit jacket to show off your waist and create a more shapely silhouette.

ARTISAN CRAFT

It wouldn’t feel right without a spring/ summer filled with worldly artisan textures. Think crochet co-ords, embroidered waistcoats and beaded jewellery layered up until your heart’s content.

Raffia is also back in a big way so if you’d prefer a simpler way to nod to the trend, adopt a straw clutch or basket bag- you’ll find them all over the high street.
