I’m a fashion writer and these Nobody’s Child buys are a must for your spring wardrobe
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Over the last few days the sun has been shining down, giving us a dose of vitamin D and making us all a little more excited about the fact that spring is here and that warmer weather is on the horizon – despite is being relatively chilly outdoors. With the hotter temperatures around the corner, we’re all yearning to update our wardrobes, putting our winter warmers and thermals to the back of the cupboard and retrieving our lighter layers that just scream spring.

That being said, our style changes just like the seasons and if you’re old springwear isn’t filling you with joy and you’re in need of inspiration for some new looks, Nobody’s Child’s relatively new collection has a plethora of pieces that will not only make you look phenomenal, but feel it too.

Plus, the brand’s ethos is to bring us gorgeously-made fashion without costing the earth. What’s more, its garments are made with an eco-conscious mind and 95% organic, lower impact or recycled materials – so you can rest assured in doing your bit for the planet.

From floaty, floral midi dresses to edgy but suave co-ords, and versatile linen sets to denim jumpsuits, the spring and summer season is looking pretty stunning and while we love each and every look, we thought we’d share with you our top five picks for spring to help inspire your next shopping spree.

Brown Spot Print Bandeau Felicity Midi Dress

Okay, I know we’re starting off with a formal number but this bandeau midi dress is so stunning that we had to share it. The chocolate-brown colour of the dress is warm and soft while the spots add a bit of fun to the look. The gathered bodice is incredibly flattering, lightly pulling you in at the waist while the A-line skirt, that is slightly gathered at the top to accentuate your figure is floaty and romantic.

Made from organic cotton poplin, the dress is lightweight, making it perfect for dancing at all your spring or summer weddings – or, if you’re a Pretty Woman fan, this dress is very Julia Roberts, who wore a similar style during a trip to the races in the film.

Costing £89, the dress is highly popular being one of the brand’s best-sellers in the last two days so you need to act fast if you want to snap it up.

Fearne Cotton Brown Abstract Brianna Jumpsuit

Continuing the neutral theme, this abstract style jumpsuit from Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place collection looks like the comfiest all-in-one piece that is not just great for roaming about the house but is a fashion statement that’ll have everyone asking where it’s from.

Crafted from light linen, the oversized jumpsuit, £89, comes in a latté-coloured geometric print that is certainly eye-catching. Featuring wide straps, a flattering square neckline and pockets, the jumpsuit is versatile enough to wear casually with trainers or dressed up with heels.

If you’re not a jumpsuit fan but love the pattern, it’s also available in the ‘starlight midaxi’ style for £79 here.

Blue Floral Tile Print Linen-blend skirt and top co-ord

Patterns are perfect for spring and this floral tile print will make you look like you’ve stepped right out of the Amalfi Coast. With gorgeous sea blues, greens, reds and lemon yellows decorated over the two-piece, it’s no surprise the top and skirt are selling out fast, with only a few sizes remaining. Costing £75 and £55 respectively, the skirt and top, while working stunningly together, are incredibly versatile and can be worn separately with so many items.

The top, which is cropped with a bardot neckline and puff sleeves, can be worn with jeans, denim skirts, shorts and wide leg linen trousers, like these, while the A-line panelled skirt is lovely with a plain white tee and trainers and covered in a denim jacket.

Get the skirt here for £79 and the top here for £55. If you’re not a fan of the tile print, the set also comes in a lovely white broderie style that is ideal for all brides-to be. Get the skirt here and the top here.

Fearne Cotton Linen-blend Cream Tile Print Shirt and Shorts

Co-ords are a massive trend at the moment, and we can clearly see why when styles like this are available. As the brand’s current best-selling set, this shirt, £59, and shorts, £55, combo is bright, beautiful and great for holidays thanks to its lovely watermelon print and red, blue and terracotta colours.

The shirt is slightly oversized, meaning you can style it with jeans, while the matching breezy shorts work for beach trips and warm heatwave evenings.

Get the shorts here and the shirt here.

Beige Double Breasted Trench Coat

A spring-time staple is the iconic trench coat. It’s light enough for balmy evenings but warm enough for when there’s a chill. The loose material, made from organic cotton and hemp, is supple enough to wear over a thin jumper and T-shirt and instantly ties in an outfit for a timeless, classic finish that oozes elegance.

Featuring double breasted buttons and a tie waist, this coat is a must for your seasonal wardrobe and while it does cost £140, it’s an investment piece that’ll last you for years to come and one which will keep its style as trends come and go.

Get it here.

Nobody’s Child isn’t the only place leaning into spring florals, co-ords and more as the likes of River Island, Marks & Spencer and H&M have all got some gorgeous pieces that’ll make you excited for the seasonal fashion shift.
