Inside Boris Johnson’s son’s dinosaur and monster truck-themed 4th birthday party

Boris and Carrie Johnson threw their son Wilf a birthday party to remember as they celebrated him turning four with a special dinosaur and monster truck-themed event.

The pair, who are also parents to two year old Romy and 10 month old Frank, marked Wilf’s birthday with a dazzling party on Sunday, 28 April as Carrie took to Instagram to give her 90,000 followers a glimpse inside the fun-filled occasion.

In a series of snaps, 36 year old Carrie revealed that while the day was “utter chaos” they “loved” every single second of it as they enjoyed everything from children’s entertainers to soft play.

To create the dinosaur theme, the party featured a large Jurassic Park style sign that featured a red and black picture of a dinosaur alongside the words “Wilf if turning 4”. To make things even more wild, the sign was placed in front of a fake foliage wall.

In keeping with the dino theme, the decor also featured lots of teal and greyish brown balloons as well as black dinosaur footprints and dinosaur cardboard cutouts.

To keep the little ones entertained, the party also had entertainment from celebrity kids entertainer Action Amanda who could be seen getting the children moving as music played in the background, while a dinosaur mascot danced along.

Also at the party was an incredible monster truck bouncy castle as well as a dinosaur themed inflatable slide.

And of course, no party would be complete without a birthday cake. Rounding up the themes nicely, Wilf was treated to a cake that was covered in blue fondant as well as model dinosaurs and pictures of monster trucks.

Captioning the series of snaps and videos, doting mum Carrie wrote: “Today we made dreams come true with a monster truck and dinosaur party to celebrate Wilf turning 4.

“Thank you to Rachel from @littlepartymonkeys_ for the amazing dinosaur mascot and for just being the most lovely person. You make parties so much fun.

“Thank you to @actionamanda for always getting the party started. A ball of positive energy, you had us all on our feet dancing and I now need to lie down for a v long time I need you around as my hype woman all the time!”

She added: “Thank you lovely Vanessa from @blooms_and_balloons_events for making the most incredible balloon and dinosaur display. Can’t believe you even picked the moss from your own roof for the dinosaur eggs! Talk about going the extra mile! You are so, so talented.

“And thank you to Sam from @kidsplaybouncycastles for the Dinosaur AND Monster truck bouncy castles and soft play. You totally nailed the theme! I won’t forget Wilf’s face when he saw it. Thank you

The happy occasion comes after Carrie shared a “dose of reality” after daughter Romy visited hospital after falling at nursery.

“The last 48 hours have been pretty grim here. My daughter fell at nursery & needed to go to hospital as the cut was pretty deep. Then all 3 kids have picked up some vomiting virus & have been sick multiple times. I’m looking after them on my own while having a sticking cold & also feeling pretty off colour,” she wrote.

She added: “A dose of reality on here!”
