Inside Jurgen Klopp’s post-Liverpool life of luxury with £3m holiday home that puts the Love Island villa to shame

After nearly nine years as the manager of Liverpool FC, Jurgen Klopp is getting set to say farewell to the team as he steps down from his role. During his time at the club, Jurgen has helped to revolutionise the team, with Liverpool lifting the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup and FA Cup under his watchful eye.

But following Liverpool’s game against Wolves on Sunday, 19 May, 56 year old Jurgen will be parting ways with his beloved team. Announcing the news back in January, the football icon explained that while he was in “love” with the club, city and supporters, it was a decision he had to make.

“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again,” he explained.

So, as Jurgen gets set to begin a new chapter in his career, let’s take a peek at Jurgen’s life away from the pitch…

Jurgen’s wife Ulla Sandrock is a central figure in his life and the pair met when Ulla was working as a waitress at Oktoberfest in Munich. The pair married in 2005 and their relationship has gone from strength to strength ever since.

In 2022, Jurgen opened up about his and Ulla’s relationship, explaining to Liverpool FC that “the most important contract in my life I signed” is the one they made as partners.

He added: “What is very important and is probably the most important – because I could not work against that and wouldn’t want to work against it – is that my family, in this case especially Ulla, she just loves it here.”

While Jurgen has a son called Marc from a previous relationship, Ulla also has a son called Dennis from a previous relationship. With Ulla’s son Dennis welcoming a child into the world last summer, the pair became first-time grandparents.

“I already look like a grandad and now I am one, it’s cool. No, it’s perfect. Absolutely perfect summer,” Jurgen said in an interview with Liverpool FC in 2023.

He continued: “Again, it’s just beautiful. The most beautiful thing I experienced probably in the last 30-odd years. And to welcome such a little wonderful human being.”

Meanwhile, the Liverpool manager also owns a stunning £3.4 million villa in Mallorca, which he purchased in 2022, though it’s reported that the couple are rebuilding the property.

“I have a house somewhere not far away from where he’s building his. Ulla, his wife, is in charge of everything in terms of that, and he said: ‘The bloody thing’s not even ready yet, and I’m paying all the bills!’,” former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson told Off the Ball earlier this year.
