Freddy Knatchbull became one of the newest cast members to join Made in Chelsea this year and has already caught the attention of viewers with his model looks and Royal Family connection.
The 19 year old became SW3’s most eligible bachelor after he joined MIC thanks to current co-star Joel Mignott, who is famously dating Robbie Mullett. He has since gone on to befriend the likes of Miles Nazaire, David ‘Temps’ Templer, Verity Bowditch and Ruby Alder on the hit E4 reality TV show and is certainly mixing things up.
Just recently newbie Jasmine Saunders caught the eye of Freddy after meeting in Verity’s restaurant, having realised they were old acquaintances. They both seemed rather flustered and Jasmine has since gone on to express interest in the model after admitting there wasn’t a connection with co-star Harvey Armstrong – could love be on the way for Freddy?

But what else do we know about the new bachelor on the block?
Modelling and MIC link
The MIC newbie is a student and a model. He is currently signed to Select Model London and was reportedly scouted while walking down Oxford Street in London.
Freddy joined the reality TV show after fellow model and close pal Joel Mignott introduced him to the MIC producers.
He previously told OK! “I already knew one of the cast members, Joel [Mignott]. We met during casting calls through modelling a while back and he thought I’d make a really good fit on the show, so I believe he recommended me.

“I was obviously so excited at first because I thought it would be such a great opportunity. I knew this could open so many doors for me – possibly a career on TV.” The 19 year old joined the show earlier this year and has proven a hit with viewers with his cheeky chappy attitude and stunning smile.
Royal connection
Away from his chiselled cheekbones, Freddy has personal ties with the British monarchy, as his great-grandfather was the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, the late Prince Philip’s uncle and mentor to King Charles in his younger years. He told OK!: “My great-grandad, Lord Mountbatten, was very ‘in’ with the royal family.
“He was the last English Governor General of India before it became independent and he led the British against Japan in the Second World War. He used to holiday with the royals all the time.”

“I’ve grown up in a generation that isn’t close with the monarchy any more,” he admits. “But my aunts and uncles are still involved.”
His royal connection has been spoken about on MIC, although Freddy admitted: “When I talk to my friends at uni about him, no one knows who he is. But when I talk to my parents’ friends, they know everything about him.” But fans of Netflix’s The Crown will remember that Lord Mountbatten was depicted by acclaimed actor Charles Dance in series three.
