Inside PLT boss Umar Kamani’s ultra-luxe wedding

After months of meticulous planning, Pretty Little Thing boss Umar Kamani and his stunning wife Nada Adelle finally said I do, in what is easily the most glamorous wedding of the year so far. The lavish bash, which took place in the South of France took wedding luxury to a whole new level, with everything from a star-studded guest list to a stunning couture wedding gown helping to make the magical day everything the couple could hope for.

Yet while the ultra-exclusive wedding may have taken place behind closed doors, eagle eyed fans were able to get a behind the scenes look at the glamorous occasion, as the celebrity guests in attendance documented the unseen side of the couple’s relationship milestone on social media.

Here, we take a closer look at the jaw-dropping details involved in helping the happy couple tie the knot…

The venue

The wedding was held at the ultra chic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France

The couple opted for a stylish black and white theme, which much of the decor in creams and whites, while guests were encouraged to dress in a monochrome colour palette.

Hosting the wedding of the year naturally demanded a luxury venue, and the couple had to look no further than the ultra-luxe Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera! The exclusive resort is linked to Eden Rock, which is owned by Pippa Middleton’s in-laws!

Perched on the tip of Cap d’Antibes, for over 150 years, the hotel has been captivating visitors thanks it it’s stunning location and relaxing atmosphere. Situated beside crystal clear seas and plenty of lush greenery, it’s easy to see why so many guests have fallen in love with it.

However, life in such a charming spot doesn’t come cheap, with the cheapest rooms on offer at the hotel starting at €1400 a night, with the most expensive the Eden Roc Suite, starting at €12,000!

As their wedding is set to take place over four days, on the first evening of the celebrations, the happy couple hosted a lavish white party, where a slew of celebrity guests and close friends were treated to a pool party beneath the stars.

For the party, each guest was asked to wear white for the occasion as they enjoyed an evening of entertainment that even included belly dancers, fire dancers and a firework display to round off the night.

In one unexpected twist, bride Nada even took to the stage with her future husband Umar as American rockers The Dangerous Summer performed a rendition of Use Somebody by Kings of Leon.

There was no shortage of famous faces at Umar and Nada’s wedding, as everyone from sporting stars to TV royalty graced the guest list in order to celebrate the couple’s union. Among some of the most notable faces in attendance were Umar’s close pals the Thomas brothers, which saw Adam, Ryan and Scott dressed to impress as they attended the bash this weekend.

Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand his wife Kate were also among the esteemed guests, as were boxing legend Anthony Joshua and even Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Stephen Bartlett!

In a clear show of how extensive the couple’s connections were, supermodel Naomi Campbell, American musician Christina Milian, Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut, singer Ronan Keating and even a handful of Royals from across the Gulf also completed the impressive guest list.

The dress

No wedding would be complete without a show stopping dress and fashion house Dior certainly delivered as they dressed Nada in a beautiful white gown with sweeping train, complimented by a sheer embroidered veil.

Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the dress was kept simple but elegant at Nada’s request, with the dress designed to “stand the test of time.”

Speaking to Vogue Arabia about the process, Maria explained: “I wanted the dress itself to be the detail. The neckline, the shape, the lines. I envisioned a gown that would stand the test of time, embodying a sense of grace and sophistication that would never go out of style.

“When I saw the Grace Kelly black dress neckline, I knew that that was what I wanted, and everything has fallen into place around it.”

Consisting of a feminine sweetheart neckline, defined waistline and long train, the dress also featured elements of romantic silk tulle and a lace veil to help tie the whole look together into the masterpiece Nada wore to walk down the aisle.

For the ceremony itself, the wedding took place beneath a beautiful clear blue sky, as Umar stood waiting at a seaside gazebo covered in white roses for the arrival of his bride. As Nada made her first appearance and began to walk down the aisle, Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, a special guest of the couple, serenaded the duo with one of his most iconic songs: The Prayer.

As friends, family and esteemed guests looked on, there was hardly a dry eye in the house during the beautiful ceremony, with the heartwarming commitment to a life together truly touching the people there to support them.

Following the conclusion of the ceremony, the party didn’t stop there as the newlyweds and their guests retired to a star studded reception to continue the celebrations.

As part of the evening’s entertainment, Nada and Umar were serenaded by popular US singer Brian McKnight and songstress Mariah Carey, before a gospel choir continued the entertainment.

In addition to the musical performances, there was also plenty of delicious food on offer, with guests enjoying a sit down reception meal before taking to the dance floor to mingle and boogie the rest of the night away.
