Soap actress Tina Malone has been left heartbroken after her husband Paul Chase passed away suddenly. The couple, who had a 19-year age gap, shared an 11 year old daughter named Flame.
Tina, who is also mum to a 39 year old daughter Danielle, has always been open about her personal life. She shocked fans when she announced her husband’s death and received lots of support from them.
However, Tina and Paul’s relationship wasn’t always smooth sailing. They split up five years before his unexpected death but managed to patch things up and were living happily together when he died.

Tina and Paul started dating in 2008 and got married two years later. Their wedding was even part of a reality show called Celebrity Four Weddings, reports the Mirror.
The show also saw Debbie McGee and the late Paul Daniels said their wedding vows again. Linsey McKenzie, a model, and Mark Williams, a footballer, did the same. Spencer Smith from Big Brother also married Jo Neeson. Tina and Paul won the show with their wedding.
In 2017, Tina and Paul, who had their daughter Flame in 2013 when Tina was 50, planned to renew their vows. Tina had lost an incredible 12 stone in weight and dreamed of having a glamorous ceremony.
She told Closer magazine: “I’ve always had the dream of being the perfect bride, so I thought: ‘Why not do it again? ‘ I’m the youngest I’ve ever felt.”
Sad split
But things got tough for Tina and Paul in 2019. They decided to end their marriage, and Tina asked for a divorce.
She told everyone on social media: “With great sadness I write this myself and Paul have split up after 11 yrs together!”

The incident came following a two-year period which Tina described as “two years of hell” in which she was arrested for being in possession of cocaine while performing in panto – and she later plead guilty of sharing an apparent photograph of someone who was in witness protection. Paul had also endured difficulties, having lost his job and struggled to find more work.
Tina said she didn’t put the drugs there, but she still got an eight-month prison sentence that was put on hold for two years because she posted a picture of someone who should not have been shown.
Reunion and shock death
In February 2020, Tina and Paul got back together after they realised they didn’t want to split up or live without each other. Talking to Closer magazine then, Tina shared: “The love never went away… We’re working on things now. Our problems were made worse by feeling down, but I’ve learned that when times are hard, you need to stick together, not apart.”

On Wednesday 13 March 2024, Tina sadly told everyone that Paul had passed away. She told her friends online, posting on X: “It’s with total heartbreak I write this my husband Paul chase Malone passed away this morning we are totally devastated.”
Fans of Tina sent her messages of love and support. One said: “I am so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. My thoughts are with you and Flame.”
Another wrote: “Oh Tina, that’s so sad. I’m sorry to hear that. Take lots of time and be kind to yourself.”
