James ‘Arg’ Argent is looking the part as the TOWIE star, 36, flaunts his toned arms and dons his incredible weight loss in a series of photos. He took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of a recent photoshoot in Woodford Green, Essex.
The reality TV star, who first shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2010, looked positively glowing as he showed off his biceps in a black vest top, for his 856k followers.
Those said followers were also quick to flood the comments section, with many comparing Arg,to John Travolta’s iconic Grease character, Danny Zuko.

One fan praised James for his lifestyle transformation: “You’re looking really well. Glad that the booze doesn’t rule the roost any more.” Another person commented: “you would make a great Danny in Greece. Danny Zuko vibes”, while a third shared similar sentiments: “Giving John Travolta.”
James bravely opened up about his weight loss journey in April 2024, revealing he was trying to gain weight after losing an impressive 14 stone following a sleeve gastrectomy operation and a complete lifestyle overhaul.
He’s been proudly sharing his workout routines on social media and in February, he even participated in the Brighton Marathon, running his “longest distance in 12 years.”
One follower gushed: “Jeeeeez man like Danny Zuko. You gonna have to be singin ‘Grease’ tunes on your next set.”
While fans were praising his weight loss, beady eyed fans spotted that these snaps were actually taken at ex Lydia Bright’s house.
“Ooo you’re at Lydia’s ! ! ! “, one mentioned, and then continued: “I know you two are just friends now, but my little heart leapt at this photo. There’s still a million of us out there, that would love to see you too back together. But yes I get it, you’ve moved on . . . but still ? ! Sorry can’t help it ! “.
Lydia Bright herself left a comment confirming her involvement in James’ recent photoshoot: “Last photo shoot I am ever doing for you. It only took 100 shots”, she joked with a laughing emoji.
James and Lydia split in 2016 but remain good friends
Lydia and Arg had a tumultuous on-off relationship until 2016 that saw its share of difficult moments, including an incident where James presented a list of all the women he’d cheated on her with.
Their dilemma intensified in 2017 when Lydia discovered he had slept with her and his future girlfriend, Gemma Collins, on the same day.
But despite the rollercoaster of emotions they’ve experienced, Lydia Bright and James Argent have managed to keep things amicable.
