After over 10 years together, TV chef James Martin has reportedly split from his long-term partner Louise Davies. The pair first met on the set of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, with Louise working as a TV producer, and were first linked back in 2011.
During their time together, James opened up about his opinion on marriage and said that he was “more than happy” not tying the knot after his experience catering for other people’s big days had made it something that didn’t “interest” him.
Speaking to the Sunday People in 2019, James said: “No, it doesn’t interest me in the slightest, mainly because I’ve catered for so many weddings, really.

“I admire people who do it, that’s fine, but I’m quite happy. I don’t need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I’m more than happy thanks.”
While James and Louise kept their relationship away from the public eye, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain in 2017, the TV presenter couldn’t keep the compliments from flowing and explained that he was “happy for the first time in my life”, the Mirror reports.
In a past interview, the James Martin’s Saturday Morning star discussed how he hadn’t started a family because he was “so focused on work”, and missing out on fatherhood is his “biggest low”.

“The biggest low of my career is that I’ve given up everything for it,” he told Prima magazine in 2020.
Despite his friends being “all married with kids”, James said that he has no regrets about his choices. He added: “The level of commitment it requires and the choices you have to make have a huge impact.”
And even though he’s made sacrifices, he’d do it all over again. “But would I do the same thing again? Probably, because it’s made me who I am,” he said.
Prior to his relationship with Louise, James had a romance with James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and the pair were together for four and a half years after she ‘won’ him at a celebrity auction in 2001 by bidding £18,000 for him to cook for a dinner party at her home.

Writing about Barbara in his autobiography Driven, the TV personality said they “just clicked”.
During their time together Barbara gifted James three Picasso paintings and introduced him to her A-list pals.
However, it was when the filmmaker spontaneously offered to buy him a £180,000 Aston Martin that James realised they were different people.
“It was a defining moment in our relationship. Deep down, I knew there was always going to be an imbalance,” he said.
