Jennifer Lopez has defended her marriage to Ben Affleck amid rumours their relationship is on shaky ground. The singer and actress was promoting her new Netflix movie, Atlas, in Mexico when an interviewer reportedly asked her about her marriage to Ben.
A video posted by El Gordo y la Flaca show on Univision, showed the interviewer asking if the rumours about her and Ben splitting are true. The question was immediately shut down by an announcer while Jennifer was seen laughing it off and then looking straight at the interviewer said: “You know better than that.”
J-Lo’s fans were quick to defend her on social media, with many commenting that the interviewer should have left her private life out of the conversation. One person said: “She looks so hurt when asked that question. They should just leave her alone,” reports the Mirror.

Another person wrote in Spanish: “She went to promote her movie, not to mention her private life.” A third person penned: “Instead of being asked about Ben Affleck, ask questions about her work and her next projects. that’s what people care to know not their private life. that’s her problem not ours.”
A fourth person commented: “Jlo has a sad look.” The actress briefly touched on her relationship with Ben during a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, attempting to dodge the escalating rumours.
She also reminisced about her first encounter with Barbra Streisand and how taken aback she was by her engagement ring – the one Ben had given her in their initial engagement. In mid-May, insider info suggested that Ben had “moved out” from the home they shared.

Prior to this, the couple hadn’t been seen together in public since March. There are also whispers that J-Lo is allegedly searching for a place of her own away from Ben. The duo got hitched in July 2022 following a second proposal. Their marriage has since faced intense scrutiny, particularly after Jennifer confessed their previous relationship “crumbled under the pressure”.
In 2023 the pair’s relationship also came under the spotlight when they attended the Grammy Awards together and a clip of them sitting together went viral, leading some social media users to comment on how “bored” actor Ben seemed. However, earlier this year, in January 2024, JLo defended her marriage after a reporter at the 81st Golden Globes asked her “So how do you know your last wedding is it?” during a red carpet interview.

In response, she explained: “Because when they say, ‘You know,’ you know.” She added: “And other times when you didn’t know, you also didn’t know,” before confessing that she always enters a relationship with “the best of intentions.”
