Last night (Sunday February 4) saw hundreds of A-listers attend the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, and with some of the biggest names in music there it was no surprise that their red carpet looks did not disappoint.
One celeb who looked particularly flawless was Lana Del Ray who opted for understated glamour with a cat eye and nude lip and considering she was nominated in an impressive five different categories at the event, it’s no surprise her makeup was perfection.
To create her ‘modern glamour’ beauty look, Lana’s makeup artist Etienne Ortega used exclusively Charlotte Tilbury products, with everything from her skincare to her perfect nude winged eyeliner done using products from the brand.

Although we loved her subtly glowy skin and sharp winged liner, her full fringe made sure that all the focus was on the singer’s lips, which were the perfect dewy nude to complete the modern take on Hollywood glamour.
To create her pout, Etienne used Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat lipliner pencil in the shade Iconic Nude, £21 here, to create definition and emphasise Lana’s full lips, with the pencil’s longlasting waterproof formula making it perfect for an event like this.

The latest addition to the CT beauty family, the lipstick is more hydrating than other cult favourites like Pillow Talk, which has a matte finish, with the new Beauty Icon lippy giving a much more moisturised, dewy finish without the annoying sticky residue that lip gloss leaves.
The shade Icon Baby is a warm nude-rose toned hue which gave Lana’s makeup more of a modern twist on glamour than a classic beige-toned nude would, and it’s infused with light-diffusing pink crystal pigments that give it a hint of sparkle without being glittery.

Although there’s no denying CT’s new Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipstick, £27 here, is going to become a timeless classic in our makeup bags, we know that its £27 price tag can be a little bit of a splurge for some.
If you’re looking for a more affordable version to try out for yourself, Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade Nude Pink 206, £5.99 here, has a similar pink-toned nude shade and a satin finish that gives the same dewy look as Lana’s.
It also has a high colour impact that lasts up to eight hours, so you don’t need to worry about constantly reapplying it while you’re out and about, and it’s soft creamy formula means it’s not drying like a matte lipstick would be.
We suspect Lana’s modern glamour look will be inspiring more than a few makeup routines in the weeks to come, and making sure you have the perfect nude lipstick is key to recreating it!
