If you’re planning on taking a leap into fitness this January, you’re going to need the right tools for the job, and that starts with your outfit.
Whether you’re planning on levelling up your daily step count or throwing yourself into an intense cardio regime, picking the right clothes keeps you comfortable throughout your workout.
When it comes to fitness attire, Luluemon has been the go-to brand for a whole host of celebrities and A-listers over the years, particularly when it comes to their ultra soft and stretchy Align Leggings, £44-£99 here, which happen to be one of the brands best sellers.
Lidl’s Crivit leggings are the perfect affordable alternative to Lululemon’s celeb-loved pair

Although now is the perfect time to snap up a more affordable pair of Lululemon’s leggings with up to 50% off in the January sale, there’s no denying that even the most affordable £44 pair are still quite a splurge, particularly if you’re just starting out with a new fitness plan.
However, bargain shoppers rejoice, because one of our favourite bargain supermarkets has just launched its very own version – and they only cost £7. If you head to the famed middle of Lidl aisles this week, you should be able to get your hands on a pair of the supermarket’s Crivit Ladies’ Sports Leggings, £6.99 here for almost £40 cheaper than the discounted Lululemon pair, and more than £90 cheaper than the usual full price ones.
The leggings have a similar back pocket to Lululemon’s signature one

Made from 92% recycled material, the leggings come in black, navy and grey, and have a fitted pocket at the back and flattering paneling around the waist as well as quick-drying, moisture-wicking material that makes them both functional and comfortable to wear throughout your gym sesh.
The leggings have already landed in the middle aisles as of January 4 and are available whilst stocks last, however if your local Lidl has already sold out of the must-have leggings don’t fret, because we’ve found another affordable alternative to take your workout to the next level.
They also come in three different colours

Amazon’s Colorfulkoala High Waisted Tummy Control Workout Leggings, £14.99 here (was £19.99), have a seamless high waist band with light tummy control to create a smooth, supportive silhouette, as well as a handy side pocket that’s perfect for storing your phone – just like Lululemon’s pair. Granted, they may be double the price of Lidl’s pair, but they’ll still save you as much as £75 on the classic Lululemon Align Leggings, £44-£99 here, making them a pretty fantastic bargain if you’ve missed out on the Lidl version
Now all you need to do is put a good playlist on and get that heart rate racing.
