The Ottawa Police Service said Wednesday that Shlash Alkhalaf, 35, had been arrested in Ottawa on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, police said Alkhalaf had been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault by choking, uttering threats, death or bodily harm and forcible confinement.

Few details on the case were released.
Alkhalaf was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
