A man was taken to hospital in critical condition after he was apparently struck by a taxi Thursday night in the ByWard Market area.
Ottawa paramedics confirmed they were called to a collision scene at Dalhousie and George streets at about 10 p.m.

Police said that the hospital later determined the injuries were non-life-threatening.
Police said “at this time no charges are expected.”
