Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s ‘unlived in’ mansion divides fans as they show off extravagant hallway

Mark Wright, 37, and Michelle Keegan, 36, have left their followers absolutely gobsmacked with a peek at their lavish hallway in their newly renovated Essex mansion.

The couple, who’ve been documenting their home’s transformation journey on social media, have finally unveiled the grand entrance hall that’s become a talking point among fans.

The pair have poured their hearts into creating their perfect home over the past three years, with their stunning property estimated to be worth a cool £3.5 million. They’ve kept fans in the loop with regular updates, and following what seemed to be a fabulous housewarming bash last year, signalling the end of major works, Mark has been actively sharing snaps and clips on their dedicated home Instagram account.

On Thursday, Mark posted a mesmerising video that took followers through a before-and-after showcase of the entrance hall. He spoke about the transformation in his post, drawing attention to the “sweeping staircase” and the eye-catching “centrepiece” chandelier that hangs with undeniable grandeur.

In his heartfelt caption, Mark gushed: “When we designed our house and first had visions, it was always the hall that everything was going to be built around. We showed Chris [from business Escalier] our dream sweeping staircase and we remember his words ‘I will bring that to life exactly’ when we show you the CGI you will see how he did that from the structure to balustrades and the handrail, they absolutely nailed it!”

The presenter went on to share: “Then it was about choosing the centrepiece.

“The chandelier, this had to be right. Michelle had a vision of golden raindrops falling from the sky, she wanted it to be more than just a hanging ceiling light but more of a piece of art. We worked alongside [Chantelle Lighting] and created just that. The day we walked into the showroom to see the finished product we were absolutely blown away!”

The sweet post has been liked by over 40K fans. Their loyal followers couldn’t wait to share their thoughts on the couple’s design decisions.

One fan gushed: “I bet you pinch yourself every five minutes! Such an amazing home – well done.”

Another chimed in with: “What an amazing achievement for you both.”

Others simply described their home as “beautiful,” “dreamy” and “stunning”.

Another impressed follower wrote: “Classy and stylish.”

Someone else raved: “Everything about that entrance is perfection,” while one even kept it concise with: “Absolutely exquisite.”

It has even attracted the attention of celebrity friends with Joe Wicks, fitness coach and friend to the couple, who complimented: “Looks beautiful mate.”

“Beautiful. Hard work pays off. Wishing you both every happiness and love in your forever home,” another commented. A further admirer stated: “Absolutely stunning! Out of this world.”

And yet another follower enthused: “Looks unreal.”

Not everyone was wowed, though. One person expressed their preference for a more traditional vibe, commenting: “Not for me. Rather have a proper home [that’s] cosie – this looks cold and [like a] show home.”

Echoing the sentiment, another chimed in: “[It’s] not very cosy and more like a show house.”

“It looks like [a] hotel,” another remarked, while a different user added: “It looks unlived in.”

And someone else pointed out a practical concern: “Be a nightmare to keep clean especially them lights.”

They weren’t the only ones pondering the practicalities of maintenance. Some felt the space was excessive for just two people. “Beautiful home, but seriously for two people – way too big.”

Another baffled fan questioned: “Why do two people need such a big house? Always baffles me.” Meanwhile, another stated: “Beautiful house but isn’t it way too big for two people.”

One user admired the property but highlighted its size as an issue, saying: “Absolutely stunning! But far too big, for me, would much prefer luxurious but on a more small and cozier scale. You would need an intercom to shout to someone downstairs.”
