Fire crews confirmed damage to the windows and siding of the home, but the structural collapse team began shoring the home to reinforce the wall where multiple studs had been knocked off. There was no damage to gas or electrical service, the fire service post added.
The residents of the home were not there at the time of the crash.
A spokesperson for the Ottawa Paramedic Service said the truck driver was listed in stable condition at the time of transport to hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
