The Ottawa Police Service Missing Persons Unit has requested public assistance in locating a 13-year-old last seen in Kanata on Tuesday.
A news release Thursday said that Bryson Staples had been last seen leaving his school in the Glen Cairn neighbourhood of Kanata and that his family was concerned for his safety.

He was described as a white male standing five feet six inches (168 centimetres) tall with a medium build and brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black and white jacket, grey sweatpants, red and black Adidas shoes, and a black baseball cap with “LA” on the front.
He was known to frequent the ByWard Market, Vanier, shopping centres and OC Transpo stations, the release added.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppers.ca.
